The Western Heritage Museum can be found in conjunction with New Mexico Junior College and the Cowboy Hall of Fame. The museum often features revolving and traveling exhibits including western history as well as educational programs. The museum was founded in 1978 originally as a showcase of Lea County’s ranching and rodeo history. The Western Heritage Museum partners with the Cowboy Hall of Fame and shares a building on the New Mexico Junior College campus.
Aside from the permanent and revolving exhibits, the museum also offers other activities including free weekly movies on Sundays for the public, book signings, and more.
