Electricity in EnergyPlex Park is provided by both Xcel Energy (and the Southwest Power Pool), and Lea County Electric Coop. Located near to six substations, there is plenty of electricity to power any project within the Park. Xcel Energy is currently, and continually, expanding within Lea County due to high demands for power including expanding their solar presence in Lea County. Lea County Electric Coop also has wind generation in the northern part of Lea County, near Lovington, and provide energy for residents of Lovington and Tatum.
